Wallace Alan Putnam, 85, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2019 surrounded by loved ones at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home. Born on April, 9, 1933 he was the son of Gerald and Bertha (Maxwell) Putnam.
Wallace was predeceased by his first wife Carol (Brown) Palmer, second wife Margaret (O'Neil) Putnam as well as Son Brian K Putnam and several loving brothers and sisters. Wallace is survived by Sister Marilyn (Putnam), Son John a Putnam and Wife Patricia, Daughter Lori Ann (Putnam) Richards, Son James and wife Janet Savard, Daughter Cheryl (Savard) Sims ,Son Shaun and wife Lisa Savard. Along with Many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Wallace spent his first four years right out of high school (Appleton Academy New Ipswich NH) serving his country in the Navy. Upon returning home he started raising his family.
Wallace spent time as a wood mill worker, General store owner, Postmaster, Restauranteur, and Carpenter. He loved working with his hands and helping his family with any projects that would arise. He loved following the grandkids sports teams and seemed to always find a way to enjoy Life.
Calling hours will be held on February 11, 2019 from 11am to 1pm with a funeral service beginning at 1pm. Services will be held at the French and Rising Funeral Home 17 South Mast Street Goffstown, NH 03045. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Veterans Association. The family would like to invite everyone to Sawyers Restaurant 13 Main Street Goffstown, NH for a luncheon immediately following the funeral service.
