LYNDEBOROUGH - Ronald J. Curran, 81, of Lyndeborough died June 20, 2018 at the Elliot Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Boston, MA May 21, 1937. He graduated from Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro.
He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from the Army Language School in Monterey, CA as a Korean linguist. After an honorable discharge from the service he attended the University of NH and graduated with a B.A. He worked for the National Security Agency, the NH Governor's Crime Commission and then entered real estate and property management. He served as a Selectman in Lyndeborough and served as a board member for CASA.
He enjoyed working on cars, especially his 1952 MGTD, and could fix just about anything that was broken. He loved living out in the country and working in the woods. He was devoted to his family, a friend to all, and reached out to help others wherever he could. He loved his various dog companions.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sally, his sons, Jeffrey (and Marie) of Bedford, Lawrence (and Jennifer) of Goffstown and four grandchildren, Martie, James, Brian and Allyson. Also a nephew, Rob Harrington (and Colleen) of Bow.
SERVICES: A memorial reception will be held on Friday June 29th from 4pm-7pm at the French and Rising Funeral Home 17 S. Mast Street, Goffstown NH. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
